Conceptual and well-crafted communications are equally important whether your audience is outside or inside a company.

Storybooks share new Bose product's story internally.

materials. Up until this point, they were copy-heavy

PDFs posted to a Sharepoint server.

 

There is no budget and very little time. It's incumbent

on the art director to shoot any photography and

video themselves. Perfection is not the goal. 

What's important is a timely and accurate telling

of the product's story and a nod to visual style.

I took it upon myself to use a webpage format. 

All photography and videos were shot at the Bose

in-house studio. No photographer, just an art director and his camera. However, the x-ray image and the radiating sound pills animation were created by an internal 3D artist. This became the new standard.

The images from the SoundLink Mini shoot were so much better than anything we had ever shot before, I couldn't resist printing out oversized posters to hang up around the department. 

New Lifestyle Photography

Bose fellow Lee Zamir had a great idea to start the Bose internal crowdfunding program designed to allow every Bose employee to submit and execute ideas to make bose better.

 

He didn't have was a budget. So using stock images and icons from the Bose icon set (and a few custom-designed icons), We developed teaser :15 and a longer informational video. We also hung posters with Mirrors in the Bose Cafeterias to show employees who had the power to make Bose better. On launch day, a company-wide email was sent out from the president announcing an new person was be in charge of making Bose better.

The Eventors was the Bose group responsible for telling the Bose story through live events like CES, SXSW and product launch press events. This is the group logo designed in Illustrator and photoshop, then animated in After Effects.
