I worked with Dana for over 10 years at Bose, and he was one of the individuals who was instrumental to significantly improving the overall quality of the creative work during my time there. Dana's superb design skills are perhaps best exemplified by the remarkable coffee table book that he created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Bose Corporation. It was truly a piece for the ages, and one that I will keep forever. Dana is also a strong conceptual thinker, able to create for virtually any medium. And every job that you give to Dana will get a great effort, whether it is a TV spot or a Powerpoint presentation. What's more — and just as important as the above — Dana is simply a great person to work with. I would highly recommend Dana for any design or art direction job you might have.

What Previous Connections Say

Dana Edwards has the best combination of traits a Creative Director could ever want in an ACD. He is a supremely skilled designer and creative contributor. And yet he is one of the kindest, most easygoing people you will ever meet. Major presentations, baseless feedback, stressful photo shoots, unrealistic deadlines — all the things Creative Directors do to fluster their ACDs — never bothered Dana. He simply turned out great work, every time. Quickly and reliably. I have known and worked with Dana for many years and I can assure you, there are very few people like him in this business.

Dana is a super creative, thoughtful, and sweet guy. We were first paired up as a team at Bose 10 years ago and I was immediately impressed by how quickly he could generate really solid concepts. Even when we had to go round after round, he always maintained a low-key, easy going vibe — and managed to come back with even better work. Dana is blessed with great presenting skills and, just as importantly, great listening skills. He is thoughtful and respectful in everything he does. We've shot a lot of videos together over the years. Whether it's an in-house, low budget assignment or high-profile film featuring a Food Network icon, NFL star or Olympic athlete, his approach is always the same. He's great with directors and photographers. He's a lot of fun to spend time with. Look. This is a hard business. If you can spend your day with a guy as talented and easy going as Dana, it's a lot easier. And a lot more fun.

Dana has the ability to move between projects of varying complexity and level of abstraction with ease. He can switch gears from storyboarding a video concept, to creating a complex graphic for an executive presentation, or directing a streaming video — sometimes in the course of a single day. And he does it with professionalism and a strong eye for detail. I enjoyed every project we worked on and would highly recommend him when a fresh perspective is required to elevate the work — whether that be graphics, photography, or video. Everything is better with Dana's touch and dedication to making the work the best it can be.

I've worked on an off with Dana for many years in different capacities. He's strong in the concept phase, he's a great collaborator, and he can execute a wide range of creative challenges. From tasteful design and editorial or animation work, to directing (or shooting himself) photography and live action, Dana is versatile in his skills and he can wear many hats really well. And if attitude matters, Dana is one of those ego-less ppl who does not fluster and he brings his kind spirit into his ideas and design to produce solid results.

Eliiza Lucas
Executive Producer at Bose Corporation

Dana was an integral part of successfully transitioning Bose from a company with direct marketing focus, to a beloved audio brand. Dana did so by bringing insightful, creative, superbly-crafted and delightful solutions to every project he touched. From an ambitious idea of how to launch a Bose TV home theater system to promoting Bose headphones so the consumer could see and feel the emotional connection to music to spearheading a 50th Anniversary retrospective branding project — Dana always brought something unique and refreshing to the table. A fantastic art director with conceptual skills that pushed the limits of what Adobe Suite could handle, Dana always raised the bar on the execution of his ideas. A student of the industry, Dana always tried to stay one step ahead of current trends in order to anticipate new ways of connecting ideas with the brand and with the consumer. Aside from his conceptual and art direction skills, Dana was also an exceptional coach, a fantastic mentor and a great friend to all of his teammates and co-workers. You could always count on Dana to come through, but what may be his greatest strength, is that he always made those and the work around him, better. Dana is one of the good ones. We could use more Dana's out there in the world.
